Incredible Send Off From Turnberry......

Today we were off to St Andrews for the coming week. While St Andrews is my happy place, Turnberry and mornings like this are making a strong run for the top spot. After another wonderful breakfast and a little workout, we headed out for the lighthouse. The sun was giving us a glorious morning for a walkabout and we took full advantage.

Ailsa Craig was showing off this morning. Never seen her more clearly!

There goes the "Light of My Life". See what I did there?

The next few are from the lighthouse. The lighthouse was built amongst the remnants of King Robert the Bruce's birthplace. You can see some of the walls etc in the pics below.

After a wonderful sun filled lunch out on the terrace, we made our way back to the car. Next stop, St Andrews.....

After safe passage up to St Andrews, we got settled in for the coming week. We unpacked and then walked to the town center to find some dinner and relax. Of note, this is "Freshers" week and all the families are bringing their freshmen students into town to get settled in for their first year here at The University of St Andrews, founded in 1410. What an exciting time for these young folks! Below are a  few last shots for the day. So glad to be back here in St. Andrews. That is all!
